Sharp's AQUOS LC-32GP2U is the second generation 32" LCD TV sporting a 1920 x 1080 pixel format. The LC-32GP2U has a very good 2000:1 static contrast ratio, a brightness of 450 cd/m2 and a decent number of HDMI ports (three). There is already a third generation LC-32GP3U but the price sweet spot is on the LC-32GP2U with a $749.99 price at Best Buy. Now, bear in mind that the LC-32GP2U does not have a 120Hz frequency, which means you'll experience some motion blur when watching fast moving objects like sports, animation and when playing games. The $749.99 price is a good price for a 1080p-capable 32" LCD TV if you don't mind the motion blur. Of course, it's a tossup as to whether your eyes are good enough to even see the additional pixels over a 720p set.
